phptutorials.cjb.net - Free PHP Tutorials and Advice

phptutorials.cjb.net is the pet project of Matthew Phillips, it is designed to be a free resource for PHP developers, geared initially towards beginners who wish to learn.

The site generally leans towards Windows users as there are not many useful guides for windows users but the only articles that are currently Windows specific are the installation tutorials.

I am hoping to (eventually) have a set of tutorials and guides that will help a PHP n00b find their way, in a logical order, (all tutorials I have seen go all over the place and have no direction) but to start with I may have to forget about structured learning, and just put up articles in the order I write them!

Matthew is an undergraduate at the University of East Anglia, currently studying Computer Systems Engineering. Matthew prefers to think of himself as ‘motivationally challenged’ rather than lazy. It is incredibly unusual for him to muster the energy to do anything except eat, sleep and sit in front of his computer. He sometimes goes to the toilet. Matthew likes open source software, as it means he gets something for free, and its legal. Matthew is currently broke. For ‘Ten American Dollars’ Matthew will ‘Program Long Time’. When Matthew can be bothered he codes several websites, including phptutorials.cjb.net, which he plans to be his major site. Matthew will probably forget about it soon enough though.
